The house
A spacious loft in a loggia (55 square metres), with a splendid view of the village and the sea, it was carefully restructured in 2014 on the second and top floor of an old stone house in the heart of a historic Italian village.
The House of Hyla, ideal for couples and families, has a 6-metre-square terrace, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the village of Cipressa and the Gallinara Tower, as well as of the western coast and the characteristic lighthouse of Sanremo.
A big window looks out onto the terrace and forms the fourth arch of the loggia.
The east-west position allows you to admire to the east the point where the sun rises over the sea behind the Tuscan Appennines, and to the west the point where it sets over the French coast.
The reconstruction was careful to maintain the original materials and the colour of the stones (dating from the 19th century), which have been left intact, and which help to give the idea of a country house.
The interior
A mezzanine floor made of iron (as was the tradition) separates the kitchen from the open living space. The window and door frames are also made of iron.
The double bed is located on the mezzanine floor, and below it there are two single beds which can be pulled out, always open and ready for use.
The kitchen has free-standing elements, made of iron and recycled pine wood. There is a large fridge with a freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee machine, kettle and toaster.
In the bathroom, which is finished completely in limestone, the shower, set on a single piece of slate, has colour-therapy lighting.

In the summer a minibus service connects the villages to the beaches, with frequent departures daily.
In S. Lorenzo, 5km from Cipressa, there are various shops and supermarkets, while Imperia (10 km, 40,000 inhabitants) is the nearest big town.
